I’m an artist, with the use of a paintbrush I create works to try make sense of the world, as I see it. I mainly use acrylic and oil paints, as they are what I am mostly familiar with, however recently I’ve been exploring different mediums as a way to have a better understanding of how materiality informs the work. I create both representational and abstract work.

Throughout my life I’ve lived in three different countries: Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Canada, therefore have encountered people of different cultures and backgrounds. This has prompted a lot questions regarding culture, tradition and the way in which we interact as human beings, see works  These are the main themes that can be found within my representational work where I portray the human figure. Furthermore, I look inwards into my own Egyptian culture and heritage, to see how it has impacted my own identity.
